Why we should encourage “Women Entrepreneurship”?

Females are the emerging human resource in the 21st century with huge potential to overcome the economic challenges all over the world cross boundaries. Even though globally as well as locally women are considered as a weaker gender in physically and emotionally, today’s education systems in most of countries given them the required confident and encouragement to discover the opportunities. Technological advancements such as communication among global community created new channels and flat forms for women to explore and exchange their potentials. Due to the huge potential visible in this new field women willing to come out of their traditional comfort zones to double the income in order to support their families financially.

In most of third world developing countries employees are hesitating to provide a comfortable workplace and set of adequate work practices that allow a women to both perform their family responsibilities and work responsibilities. Same time in most of these societies’ there is a less tendency and poor involvement of males in fulfilling family responsibilities such as take caring children, or doing daily home/ housemaid activities. As a result women in developing world is more courage’s and have strong incentives to create their own work environment that are balancing and favorable for both her economic needs and family responsibilities. Self-employment is a better concept for balancing work and family life.

Helping women to achieve financial autonomy at all levels of economy is a form of activism for women’s rights that hold positive implications for family well-being, community viability and national prosperity. Support for female entrepreneurs is a part of a general push to stimulate national growth of any country.  On the other hand it’s a poverty alleviation strategy where women invest more of their income for children and for the community where they live. Support women entrepreneurship indirectly says “close the gender gap”. It is also includes better use of national resources, reduction in disease and hostility, improved human capital and finally the growth.

Gender differences are vary from nation to nation based on the culture, traditions, social and economic factors. But anyway the restrictions for women are high across all the boarders. Anyway women’s ability to own, control and grow her own business is just as important as understanding the gender specific impediments to education.

Female entrepreneurship is a tool of enabling women empowerment and emancipation and also increasing the quality of female life. Indirectly it encourage to make changes in status-quo and readdressing the balance of power within the family unit and female role. Therefore as a third world developing country it’s time for us to take strategic actions to identify, develop and encourage more women- owned business all over the country across many industries.
